About Strip & Clear Services

Strip & Clear Services Ltd prepares commercial and residential sites for refurbishment and redevelopment across London and the South East. We carry out soft strip, demolition, groundworks, enabling works and clearance, safely and with as little waste as possible going to landfill.

Who we are

A Site Preparation Contractor Built Around One Team

Getting a site ready for a new build or a refurbishment usually involves several stages: stripping the building, demolishing what has to come down, setting up the site, clearing it, and preparing the ground. Too often each stage is a different contractor, and every hand-over between them costs time and loses information.

Strip & Clear Services Ltd was set up in 2022 by Harry John Hudson to bring those stages together. Soft strip, enabling works, temporary works and clearance are carried out by our own team, with demolition, groundworks, dig outs and operated plant available as part of the same programme. One contractor, one programme and one set of paperwork.

Since then we have delivered more than 280 projects across London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire. Our clients are main contractors, developers, commercial landlords, project and facilities managers, and private clients. The business is owner-run, with Harry directly involved in projects, and we work from our office in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex.

Any carrier's registration can be checked on the Environment Agency's public register of waste carriers. We hold £10m public liability insurance, plus employers' liability insurance.

How we work

How We Work

Whatever the size of the job, the same four principles apply.

  • Safety and compliance first

    Every project is planned under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, with risk assessments and method statements prepared before work starts. Asbestos surveys, service isolations and the right notices are checked as part of that planning, not as an afterthought.

  • Waste treated as a resource

    Materials are segregated at source as they come out of a building, so metals, timber, plasterboard and hardcore can be recovered. We target 95%+ of waste diverted from landfill, and every load is documented under duty of care.

  • In-house capability

    Soft strip, enabling works and clearance are carried out by our own team, and we install temporary works ourselves. Fewer subcontracted hand-overs mean clearer responsibility and fewer gaps in the programme.
