Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who helps us process it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

Strip & Clear Services Ltd ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14154805), and our registered office is 13 Napier House, Elva Way, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex TN39 5BF. You can contact us about this policy or your information at hello@stripandclearservices.co.uk or on 020 8914 7838.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our form, we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, the site postcode, the service you need, your project details and any files you attach (such as floor plans, drawings or photos). We also record which page of the website you sent the enquiry from, and the address of the page that referred you, if your browser provides it.

When you phone or email us, we receive the information you choose to give us.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address and browser details. We use the IP address only briefly, to limit the number of form submissions from one connection and protect the form from abuse.

How we use it, and why

We use your enquiry details to reply to you, arrange a site survey, prepare a quotation and, if you go ahead, carry out the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.

We use technical information to keep the website secure and working, on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our enquiry form from misuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Do you have to give us your details?

No. There is no legal or contractual requirement to send us your details, but we need your name and a way to contact you, and the site postcode, to reply to an enquiry and prepare a quotation. If you would rather not use the form, you can phone us instead.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you.

Who processes your information for us

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and deliver your enquiry. They process information only on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare hosts the website and runs the enquiry form.
  • Resend delivers your enquiry, including any files you attach, by email.
  • Microsoft provides our business email, where your enquiry is delivered.
  • Our website provider runs this website for us and also receives a copy of each enquiry, in an email inbox provided by Google, to check the form is working and help us follow up.

We may also share information where the law requires us to, for example with a regulator or the police.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards required by UK law, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses.

Cookies and third-party content

This website does not set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and it does not load scripts, fonts or maps from third parties. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated abuse.

Links to Google Maps and other websites open those websites, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you and follow up on your enquiry. If you become a customer, we keep the information needed for the contract and for our legal, insurance and accounting records for as long as those obligations require. We then delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred to someone else. To make a request, email hello@stripandclearservices.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
